#IAM23 IS TEACHING WARRIORS TO LIVE THROUGH PTSD AND THRIVE, DESPITE THE ODDS

WHAT IS THE #IAM23 WARRIOR PROGRAM?

The #IAM23 Warrior Program is a 5-day intensive PTSD retreat that kicks off 18 months of peer-to-peer follow up. We believe that a 5-day retreat is only the beginning and we want to stay connected with our warriors when they return to their families and the communities to encourage them along the way.

HOW WE TREAT WARRIORS WITH PTSD

Everyone is different, and we recognize that each veteran may need a different therapy or combination of therapies in order to learn to cope with PTSD and better control their emotions. By providing both PTSD counseling and a range of activity resources at our retreat, we hope to allow our warriors the ability to try different approaches and find the therapeutic solution that works best for them.

Basecamp provides a variety of therapeutic options, including individual and group counseling, equine therapy, “warrior basics” – activities that allow our warriors to return to the origins of being a warrior like archery, fishing, hiking , peer-to-peer support, and nature therapy.

At IAM23 our ultimate goal is to keep veterans from getting to the point where they lose everything – their family, their career, their life. We are here to help warriors re-establish who they are after their combat experience, learn to trust, engage others with a support network, and make the changes that are needed to successfully integrate themselves back into civilian life. We want to teach warriors to live through PTSD and thrive, despite the odds.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE WARRIOR PROGRAM?

The #IAM23 Warrior Program is available for both male and female combat veterans – active duty or veteran, and first responders. No clinical diagnosis or prior mental health care is required to attend.
